October 14, 2021, 6PM-9PM 60 Green Street NYC NY 10012
NEW YORK, NY (Aug 2021) The event will be hosted by Operation Warrior Shield, a 50l c-3, whose primary mission is to provide comprehensive support programs for service members, veterans and first responders, with a focus on” healing their hidden wounds” through no-cost holistic wellness services and connecting Veterans to resources to address unemployment and homelessness.
This evening’s event is to HIGHLIGHT their new program of providing Companion Dogs to seriously wounded Veterans in a partnership with Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
OWS is joined in this effort by Bob Roth, David Lynch Foundation, who trains Veterans in the Transcendental Meditation, Ms. Lorraine Cancro-Silvetz, Global Stress Initiative, whose mission is to treat and prevent Post Traumatic Stress, Ms. Daniela Zahradnikova and OWS’s Ambassador of Good Will, Veteran Errol Rappaport.
According to the VA’s national suicide data report, 22 Veterans commit suicide daily, which means that every 65 minutes one of our heroes takes their own life in despair. And as suicide rates increase by more than 10 percent among younger Veterans, it is a clarion call to action. That is why organizations like Operation Warrior Shield, and others, are reaching out to assist military, and their families, who fight a daily battle for improved quality of life and a path to inner and outer health and well-being.
